These terms cover your use of the Millpond iOS app and this website. By using the app, you agree to them.
What Millpond is
Millpond is a wellness app. It plays sound, guides sessions, and tracks what you log. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure tinnitus or any condition, and it is not a medical device. For medical concerns, see a doctor. Ringing that is new, in one ear only, or pulsing with your heartbeat warrants an exam by an ENT or audiologist.
Listening safely
Keep volume at a comfortable level — around the loudness of your ringing or below. If a sound is uncomfortable, turn it down or stop.
The free part and the subscription
- The sounds, mixes, timers, and all-night play are free.
- The program — your personalized sound, daily sessions, and voice guidance — is a paid subscription. The price and any free trial are shown in the app before you pay.
- Payment goes through your Apple ID. The subscription renews on its own unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Apple handles refunds under its own rules at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your license
The app is licensed to you, not sold. The license is personal and non-transferable, for use on Apple devices you own or control. Don't copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its sounds.
Your data
What the app handles and how is covered in the privacy policy.
No warranties
The app is provided as is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will help your tinnitus. Results people report vary, and many people notice no change.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the app. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Apple
These terms are between you and Millpond, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app and is not responsible for it, but Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes
If these terms change, the current version will always be at this address, with the date above. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app.
